Spartanburg is the largest city in and the county seat of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States, and the twelfth largest city by population in the state.

Spartanburg was formed in 1785 and was named after a local militia called the Spartan Regiment in the American Revolutionary War. The Spartan Regiment, commanded by Andrew Pickens, participated in the nearby Battle of Cowpens.

Spartanburg is host to the NFL’s Carolina Panthers training camp each year on the campus of Wofford College.

Spartanburg is home to an amazing diverse selection of attractions and historical sites. Many dating from the Revolutionary War era.

Spartanburg features many festivals and annual events for the locals and for visitors alike. There always seems to be something of interest happening in the area.
